Okay now, let's detail out the two key ways that you can most effectively promote your business for free.
Here, we don't want to go into all sorts of expensive or trendy methods to advertise or promote your business online for free because honestly, most things are a total waste of time.
First up is SEO -- that is, search engine optimization. Check this out, here's how this works...
Right now, millions and millions of people all over the world are searching online. What are they searching for?
They're searching for the same things you and I search for -- they're comparing products, searching for reviews, trying to find answers to questions they have, and so on.
Now what's great here is that for your online business, you don't want to attract "everyone." "Everyone" is way, way too many people.
Instead, what you want to do is ONLY attract people who are a part of the target audience you want to help and serve in your online business. And SEO allows you to do exactly that.
See, what most people think is, that it's a matter of DRIVING traffic to your website. And that's not right at all. There's no "driving" or "pushing" traffic or eyeballs online.
Instead, what SEO let's you do is get your web pages, products, articles, and offers in front of the RIGHT eyeballs.
So when they search -- again, for a product review, for an answer to a problem they're wrestling with -- if you do it right, SEO allows you to rank your web pages and content and get it in front of your target audience.
Now I get it though...all this stuff seems complex and difficult and even like black magic or something...
...at least, that's what I used to think. Really though, all this stuff is way, way simpler than you think.

Instead, I think of these platforms as venues that you and I get to show up on and perform. And this brings me to my second point...
The entire purpose of leveraging social media is to get found by the sorts of people you want to serve in your online business...
...and then bring them back to your business's true home base online -- your website! And that's a huge opportunity for us online business owners.
Posting on social media costs us nothing, and we can post as often as we'd like...using social media platforms that support the formats we want to use -- YouTube for video, Instagram for pictures, Twitter for short text, and so on.
